Miami Marlins vs Washington Nationals

The 4th of July is a day where we can all come together to celebrate our country and what better way to celebrate than watching the great American sport of baseball. The Marlins vs Nationals game was a nail-biter as it ended in extra innings.

The Marlins struck first in the 3rd inning taking a 1-0 lead as Angular singled to the left bringing Williams into the score at home. There wasn’t another run scored until the 8th inning when the Nationals tied it up. Garcia singled to right bringing Adrianzana home.

There were no runs scored in the 9th inning, so this took us to extra innings. The Marlins batted first and took full advantage as De La Cruz hit a bomb of a home run 411 feet to left field and gave the Marlins a 3-1 lead. The Nationals had a chance to tie it up or win it in the bottom of the tenth, however, Dylan Floro got credit with the Save for not letting the Nationals score a single run.
This game was a fun one to watch as both teams combined for 18 total hits.
