Here are some AFL Top Players on Opening Day in Arizona Fall League action..

Carlos Cortes, a Mets prospect. was batting leadoff and crushed a single on the first pitch. Later in the contest he hit a 97 mph fastball for a triple and finished the game 3-for 4. He also walked in the contest.

An0ther Mets prospect. Brett Baty singled twice and scored the game tying run. His exit velocity was 108.7  and another at 106.5 to get head turning.

Nelson Velasquez had three hits in four attempts for the Cubs prospect as Mesa Solar Sox went down in defeat.

Mariners outfield prospect Zach DeLoach smacked a 429 foot homer for the Peoria Javelinas.

 

Royals pitching prize, Asa Lacy pitched to scoreless innings and fanned four batters. He only needed seven pitched to retire the side.

Cardinals top prospect Nolan Gorman took Red Sox prospect Connor Seabold deep for  a three run homer in the third. inning to give his team all they needed. In the second inning, Gorman made a great play at second base to end the half and set himself up for the heroics.
