Head coach Mark Wasikowski has had success since coming to Eugene and looks to continue to have Top 25 teams for awhile in collegiate baseball. The Ducks have lost a lot of talent from last year but through recruiting and the transfer portal the team has been replenished.

Last season Issac Avon and RJ Gordon were thrust into big roles due to injuries and that will pay dividends in 2023. Newcomers will also play a big part of the anticipated success. RHP Cade Halemanu and RHP Josh Mollerus are ready to contribute along with a two outfielders from the SEC Owen Diodati and Isaiah Thomas.

Projected key returners: SP Isaac Ayon, DH Drew Cowley, SP RJ Gordon, 2B Gavin Grant, RP Logan Mercado, OF Colby Shade, OF Tanner Smith, 1B Jacob Walsh

Some other key newcomers include
SS Carter Garate (No. 195),  RHP Cade Halemanu (Hawaii), OF Dominic Hellman (No. 304), INF/OF Towns King (Samford, 2B Rikuu Nishida  and 3B Drew Smith (No. 214),
