Jace Jung in High School

He played all four years of varsity baseball at MacArthur High School in San Antonio, Texas  and was the 39th best prospect from Texas according to Perfect Game. As a senior in high school he was named All-state first team as a shortstop.As a freshman and sophomore he was named All-District 6A second team. He hit .476 his summer team USA Prime along with seven home runs.

Being a Texan as a native, he didn’t go far away as he accepted a scholarship to attend Texas Tech. In his freshman season of 2020, he started 16 games at second base for the Red Raiders. He led the squad in walks and was second in home runs and third in RBI’s. He has nine extra base hit and finished with a .264 batting average along with a .438 OBP.

In the Big 12 conference he was third in RBI’s with 23 his sophomore season and and second in base on balls with 18. He became an extra base hit guy at almost every level and season he has played. His brother Josh as a first round pick by the Texas Rangers out of Texas Tech as a third baseman.

 Jace Jung As A Prospect

Jace Jung is a hitter and as a thick middle infielder with average lateral mobility and has shown quickness with his feet. His arm is considered average and may grade out to be a third baseman. At 6’0″ and 205 pounds, he can mash the ball shown by his over 20 homers at Texas Tech in his second year.  Look for Jace Jung to go in the Top 5 of the draft.
