Hunter Barco- The Prospect

Barco has four pitches he relies on to get outs. His fastball will be in the mid 90’s and his swing and miss pitch is his low 0’s slider and will need some major league adjustments. He uses his curveball to set up his other pitches and us a change=up sparingly but it is a strike pitch most of the time.

He is on a list of about five other college pitchers to go in the first round including Reggie Crawford from UConn, Payton Pallette of Arkansas, Connor Prielipp from Alabama. Hunter Barco is probably the most proven of these college arms. He is likely to go in the firs round. If he is there, look for a team like St. Louis to target Barco as they love arms from the South in previous drafts.
